There are a selection of foods you can eat everyday that contain acne-fighting vitamins, which in turn will help reduce or prevent acne from occurring.

Oysters

Oysters are a rich source of the mineral zinc, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Zinc can help improve acne by healing damaged tissues and treating acne scarring. Also, zinc helps reduce acne by controlling the activity of the oil glands on your skin. A deficiency in zinc may cause acne.

Carrots

Carrots are a good source of vitamin A, which is important for healthy skin. Vitamin A assists in the body in the development of skin cells and tissues, according to KidsHealth.org. Vitamin A works with carotenoids to help keep the protective tissues of your skin firm and hydrated; it helps prevent acne by reducing the excess production of sebum.

Grains

B vitamins are found in grain sources. According to the Vitamin and Nutrition Center, vitamin B1, or thiamine, acts as an antioxidant for your skin and helps promote circulation in your skin. Vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, helps your body reduce stress, which is related to the occurrence of acne in some people.
