5 Day Acne Home Remedy
Acne is an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles of the skin that is marked by the eruption of pimples. According to MayoClinic.com, research suggests that over-the-counter gels containing 5 percent tea tree oil may be an effective treatment option for mild to moderate acne. Topical applications of tea tree oil may help reduce bacteria, lessening inflammation and improving acne symptoms, notes the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Apply benzoyl peroxide cream to your face daily. Benzoyl peroxide is an over-the-counter agent used to treat mild to moderate acne. It also comes in soap, lotion and gel form. Do not administer benzoyl peroxide to children age 12 or younger before talking to your doctor.
Create a paste of ginger and milk. Apply this paste to your face overnight. Wash in the morning with soap and water.
