A Review of SkinMedica Skin Care

Overview

SkinMedica is an anti-aging skin-care line developed by longtime dermatologist Richard Fitzpatrick. Products include facial cleansers, toners, moisturizers, treatment serums, facial peels and lip products.

Features

The SkinMedica line of skin-care products consists of seven major categories: cleanse, tone, skin rejuvenation, age defense, moisturize, sun protection and acne. Within each category are products developed to perform a number of tasks, such as smooth fine lines and wrinkles, brighten and even skin tone, clear acne and hydrate.

Key Ingredients

A key ingredient in several SkinMedica products is TNS Recovery Complex, which according to the company is a combination of human growth factors and natural proteins that help boost collagen production. Other ingredients include vitamin C, an antioxidant that reduces inflammation and fights against free radical damage; retinol, which regulates cell shedding; and benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to clear acne.

Purchasing Information

SkinMedica products are sold exclusively through dermatologists, but products can also be purchased from the SkinMedica website.
